The Food Safety Branch, Division of Public Health Protection and Safety, Kentucky Department for Public Health is looking for candidates to fill the following position:

Environmental Health Program Evaluator – Area Retail Food Technical Consultant

Salary: $53,708.40

Primary Responsibility:

• Serves as a Conference Officer, conducts an administrative conference for Local health departments, and submits a written report to the Local Health Department directors.
• Conducts Local health Department Standardizations, Evaluations, and Surveys.
• Reviews Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans and Variances.
• Provides Food Core Training to new Local Health Department food safety inspection staff.
• Assists Food Safety Branch in the development of policies, standards, regulations, and laws.
• Successfully completes FDA(Food and Drug Administration) Retail Food Code Standardization.
• Assists Local Health Departments with food industry training and inspection activity.
• Serves as Food Safety Branch liaison in situations involving other agencies/food protection partners.
