Race/Ethnicity/Gender

There is a significant difference in the unemployment rates between those who identify as white and those who identify as other race/ethnicity groups in Gallatin County. According to the 2020 ACS 5-year estimates, those who identify as Black or African American are 2 times more likely to be unemployed than those who identify as “White Alone”8.

In Gallatin County, females with children under 18 years old in their household experience significantly higher rates of unemployment at 26% compared to a rate of only 5.8% of females across the Commonwealth8.
