Rodna Abbott, BS Counseling & Human Services
Rodna has a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling and Human Services from Northern Kentucky University.
Rodna’s experience includes working as a Care Manager for the Elderly Services Program at the Council on Aging of Southwest Ohio, A Health Care Coach for MyCare Ohio with Humana, A Care Manager for the Home and Community Based Waiver program at the Northern Kentucky Area Development District and as a Housing Care Manager with Welcome House at the Gardens of Greenup. Rodna also posses experience serving with AmeriCorps and United Ministries providing case management emergency services including: rent, utilities, food, and housing assistance through the Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program.
As a Health Education Coordinator/Harm Reduction Specialist, Rodna provides an array of Harm Reduction Services including: risk reduction education, HIV/HCV testing connecting individuals to treatment, offering support and resources for individuals with substance use disorder, and providing Narcan and other items that reduce harm to individuals and communities.
Rodna is passionate about encouraging, educating, and empowering others to love, heal, believe and know they are worthy of the same and can reach their goals with the appropriate resources and support.
She believes the most important service she provides is a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals who wish to reduce harm to themselves and others. “When individuals are ready for treatment, I provide resources to meet their individual needs making treatment both meaningful and achievable. To summarize, I am here to meet everyone where they are in their journey.”
