INDUSTRY AND CLASS OF WORKER

According to the 2020 ACS 5-year estimates, the leading industry for Gallatin County’s employed population 16 years and older was Manufacturing, representing a fifth of all jobs followed by Education, 14%, and Transportation at 10.3%7.

Not surprising, the most common occupations were those related to production, transportation, and material moving representing 30%; followed closely by service occupations at 20%; management, business, science, and arts at 19.8%; sales and office occupations at 18.9%; and natural resources, construction, and maintenance occupations at 11.2%7.
